That's a massive pumpkin! My pumpkin plant only gave us four pumpkins this year, we had a pretty big drought and weren't able to water it for a while. But I'm happy with the four we did get!
I was impressed that we got 10 pumpkins, because we also had a summer drought, though probably nowhere near as drought-y as yours. Still about two more months till planting time, since late and unexpected frosts do come up... and then the slugs (which came in abundance for the first time last year). I'm apprehensive as to what sort of eggs in the thousands they laid in the dry summer months last year.
There is something so satisfying about raising/growing your own food. Of course, the quality is much, much better, but it's also just so nice to know exactly where the salad ingredients or the eggs came from.
Yes, it is wondrous to know where your food comes from, and what is in it - that's why I love gardening so much. We had chickens for a while many moons ago, but it didn't work out at the time, however we are thinking about getting birds again this summer! Thank you for your comment!

What do you mean by “write instead of read”? Anyway I like your pumpkin 🤗
Simply to spend more time with your own thoughts, at least for a little while! Journaling is great for that. It's all about balance! ❤️
