Windows, windows everywhere...
Take a moment to pause and notice all the windows where light shines through.
Nature photo of the day: window between branches.
the sky is scattered with white sometimes when the view above is not the purest blue most days it is cloudy as can be however, today it is halfway in between clean & messy but i don't think anyone else noticed the goings on in the skies above because their gaze was fixed toward the ground perhaps they could not perceive the sky because of the branches swaying in the gusts of winter there is a window which allows me to watch the skies over head between the pear tree and the apple and a couple of ashes maybe a few boughs of a walnut form the window as well making it easy to catch a glimpse of the sky with clouds rushing by as a reminder, that above the clouds the firmament is persistently blue all you must do is find a window in the trees then observe the scene unfold from your own private porthole - Csermely
Notice all the windows in your life. Not the ones on your house, or your laptop. Rather, the kind which allow you to see the sky above, or the future. We have been subject to many feelings of déjà vu these days, and not all feel comfortable.
Some say this is the calm before the storm. And this seems to be the case, which makes me think that we should slow down as much as possible now.
Taking time to enjoy the nanoscopic happenings that make us happy.
So look for a window today in between the trees, or between your trains of thought, and notice something which is as pretty as a picture, it doesn’t matter if it is only a fond memory, or the sky above. Sense the joy of the winter season!
At the moment, we are relishing the window between the trees, with some gingerbread cookies and hot tea. I encourage you to spend some time today (or this weekend when life naturally slows down) looking out through the space in between the branches, celebrating the noiselessness of a winter afternoon. Soon to be followed by the uproar the Holiday season brings…
As for the journal prompt of the day:
What is the best window to look out of? Is it a physical window, or a mental one, allowing you to relish in observing happenings from a different perspective?
For me, the best window to look through is a window in the branches. Giving me an opportunity to imagine the firmament, offering me a little break from the screen so I can enjoy the moment.
What beautiful things do you see through your window today?
With gratitude,
