Nature photo of the day: mountain sunrise in northern Romania.
How often do you get to see the sun rise? Or set?
As someone who goes to bed early and gets up early, I’ve seen the sun rise infinitely more times than I’ve seen it set.
But it’s not just about when your internal alarm clock goes off. There’s something to be said for landscapes as well, or in a city, buildings blocking your view at either end of the day.
Here in Breb, Romania, the sun rises over the mountains, which is several minutes later than when it wakes up over the Black Sea. And at the end of the day, the sun sets early behind the trees, then over another mountain range, so far out of sight that we’ve never really seen it neutralize over the horizon.
That’s okay, we’ll take the beauty of the forest any day, even if it has a tendency to soak up the last rays of the sun.
We trust that the sun will come up tomorrow.
Here is another sunrise, looking in the same direction:
grass grows tall and mighty dancing in the breeze cherries ripen bobbing in the trees rain clouds sit upon the sky blown away and replaced by the sun hopeful is the scent around in the leaves and on the ground how grateful are we to be here right here and now to witness this wonderful sight - Csermely M.
As for the journal prompt of the day:
What is my favorite kind of weather and why?
If you have a preferred sort of weather that makes you happy, think about why you like it so much. What memories come to mind connected to that special kind of weather? More than anything, give thanks this morning for any kind clouds, rain or shine that comes your way today.
What will nature bring tomorrow? We’ll have to wait and see ♥
