Nature photo of the day: pumpkin leaf at sunrise.
Early risers unite!
Those daring folks who wake up earlier than the rest are rewarded with views of nature that the latter will never see… such as this majestic leaf at sunrise.
By mid-day, such large leaves have the tendency to look quite downtrodden in the highest heat, so enjoy them the earliest in the day you can.
If you get outside before you brew your first coffee or tea of the day, you never know what you may find.
And if it’s not a backlit leaf, then perhaps it’s a temporarily or permanently abandoned web.
gossamer threads left behind the occupant gone tethered by time a sense of place a home destroyed a work of art gone with the wind gathering dust waiting patiently for a new tenant to arrive - Cheryl M.
As for the journal prompt of the day:
How do I feel about spiders?
Spiders are amazing creatures, though it is surprising when you put your hand on one when reaching into a pan, feeling it’s furry body wriggling between your fingers (true story). Whether you love them or choose to keep a distance, you must admit that there is no other being on earth like it. Take a few moments now to find gratitude in your heart for spiders!
What will nature bring tomorrow? We’ll have to wait and see ♥
I love pumpkin and squash plants, because they always remind me of pumpkin pie and Halloween. They make me happy. Thank you for this reminder of probably one of my favorite plants in the world 💚
