Nature photo of the day: the entrance to Breb, Romania. Where we live and love the place we call home.
grow where you are planted the saying goes but for those of us with wild souls it doesn't make sense in the grand scheme of things to be unhappy and bereft where you were left where your ancestors stopped perhaps on a whim in a time long gone when maybe things were better than worse or simply different than now the present moment to decide where to be is up to you when you take the chance to truly live where you feel home is on Earth. - Cheryl M.
Life takes many twists and turns, but one thing is for certain: life is a whole lot better being loved and loving.
On this day, the first of September, my husband and I celebrated our 23rd anniversary. Half of my life now, I have spent with him. Uprooted my roots from where I was born in America, to live in a country that was his, but not where he was born. Then we moved for a year to the roots of my ancestors in Scotland, but still we didn’t feel all that much at home.
Longing for a sense of place, where we could be happy, healthy and safe was what we asked of the Universe.
And we found it here, in Breb. A place that previously none of us had ever been to. On a whim we packed all of our belongings in our backpacks and switched countries just like that.
You always take care of the things, the people and the places that you love best.
So, what, whom and where are you loving this very moment?
Is it everything you expected? Or is it much more?
If you ever aren’t sure that you are in the right place, we have an affirmation for that: I am always in the right place, at the right time, for my highest and best good.
Say it out loud multiple times a day and see how you feel.
Write it down in your journal. 3x, then 6x, then 9x more.
Feel that wherever you are, is wherever you are meant to be.
Don’t forget to give gratitude, whether you are tied to a journey, or already at your destination, waiting for the next inspiration to strike.
As for your journal prompt of the day:
Since I truly love the Earth, in what ways can I take care of it better than I am currently doing?
And for now we’ll leave you with that question, because we have hot applesauce on the stove, ready to put into jars before bed. Tomorrow morning we’ll be up at 4 am to continue our lives together, living the homesteading life that we love. Sure, it takes work, both marriage and living a simple life, yet when you think about it, you take care of the things, the people and the places you love. Your spouse, your children, your pets, your home, your garden, all the way out to your village.
You won’t know which home is ours in the picture, but we know its location and energy by heart.
We wish the same happiness for you too!
With love, Cheryl
