Nature photo of the day: table set for eating outdoors with a garden view, waiting for lunch guests.
time stands still in a place as quiet as this for starters the road to a simple life is steep it takes willpower and a pinch of strength to make it up the rocky hill on two legs if you carry too much you'll have to go that much slower if you choose to carry less you'll get to your destination far sooner it's a tangled choice we all have to make sooner, or later, you'll get to sit down upon a hard wooden bench no cushion just an unpretentious place to rest by a cool glass of herbal tea and when an oval tray of dandelion bread is laid upon the table you grab a slice with delight indulging in a weed you've never eaten before in your life have you ever been so welcomed by the quiet? - Cheryl M.
In the village, Sunday is the day for socializing.
And so, today, we did have guests over for lunch, they drove about an hour to dine with us outside on the porch. What we had, I will not say, though it involved some fresh garden produce, cream from local ladies and of course, a generous amount of dandelion greens.
Unconventional to some, yet common to us. We’ve come to understand that we are different in many ways, diet is but one of them.
With our guests we had a wonderful conversation about bees, birth, health and life lived in these uncertain times.
Now we are tired and ready to head out on one last walk before bed to get butter for the week ahead.
So, we’ll leave you with this journal prompt as you get back to your regular Sunday relaxation:
If I were to meet anyone for lunch outside, where would it be - and who would it be with?
It might also be worth noting what you would like to be eating.
If dandelion greens are on the menu, let us know in the comments below!
Before we head out the door, we just wanted to remind you that fall prints are in fashion - you can find those - and more - in our Etsy shop Earth Gratitude Studio. For a few more days everything is 50% off, no coupon code required.
Have a happy, relaxing Sunday!
"Welcomed by the quiet" isn't something I expected to hear this morning, so this is a refreshing find. Hope you're well this week. Cheers, -Thalia
