On this autumnal equinox...
are you finding balance, or is the weight of the world getting hard to bear?
Nature photo of the day: the beautiful weight of an early fall garden harvest.
the moon has risen it's been riding the waves of the domed sky for more than sixteen hours straight only to rise again in another eight falling above dipping below it seems that the moon has a mind of her own on this autumnal equinox when light and dark are proposed to be equal there is no light without darkness and no darkness without a light so on this day sit outside and offer up a prayer to the moon and the sun for they are like-lighted bringing balance and harmony to our wondrous Earth - Cheryl M.
For the past few days people have been talking extensively about the equinox (at least the people we follow on social media).
Chances are good then, that you already know all about it.
Rather than take your precious time away from nature, we encourage you all to get outside, sit on the porch/deck with a book in hand, cook/bake something seasonal and enjoy it outside under the cover of trees while you contemplate all that is on your plate.
Find balance in not biting off more than you can chew.
Figure out how much you can carry, both literally, physically and figuratively.
Know what is worth saving as you imagine your future self and successes.
Get outdoors and enjoy this beautiful day!
As for the journal prompt of the day:

If you don’t have anything planned yet for today’s important event, never fear, it will happen around the same time next year. So, there’s no need to worry. Every celebration comes around in good time.
Not sure how to celebrate the equinox?
Here are a few powerful tips from The Outdoor Apothecary on how to create your own rituals related to this particular day.
Today we’ve already baked a pumpkin from the garden, picked pears, eaten locally grown and harvested apples, and spent meaningful time in nature.
In just a few moments we are off to a good-bye-to-the-outdoor-cafe-season party which coincidentally aligns with the equinox.
Cheers,
Cheryl
