Does anyone else feel that it's not as easy as it used to be?

beauty lies 
within the intelligence of soil
as the layers of life
open up,
crack open wide
to separate 
and allow 
any heavenly drop of water to fall through
waiting patiently 
for thirst to be quenched
with the first few drops of 
cloud juice
of the finest kind
reserves are hidden
deep within
holding out for the rain 
for weeks on end
oh, the sweet victory sip
when the first drops drip
closing the gap
between dehydrated gasps
as the ground takes it all in.
