Nature photo of the day: abandoned sheep shed.
So much can happen when you make an effort to get outside.
You can meet an old tree, trip over roots sticking out of the ground while you look up and wonder at the sky and if the timing is right you can even forage something from the ground or right off the tree.
Maybe even all three, but hopefully not all at once.
Anyways, it feels good to get outside, even on a hot day.
We are off for our creek bath in just a few minutes.
But this image is much more interesting than watching us walk barefoot through the meadow, so look up to the sky first.
a swallow rests on a wire and i watch it in awe as it stares up at the moon oh how i wonder what the swallow thinks of and feels up there oh how i wonder if it wishes it could fly to the moon and i watch the swallow as it flies off in its swooping sort of way and I relish in the swallow’s simple life - Csermely M.
As for the journal prompt of the day:
What is my favorite wild herb(s) and why? Or do I not have one at all?
Aromatic plants grow everywhere, both cultivated and in the wild. If you make loose leaf teas, have one this morning as you think about where it came from. Do you know the origin, is it close or far? What time of year was it harvested, etc.

Wild herbs are all amazing, but I think my favorite is the yarrow. It's beautiful and the tea tastes so good, and it also attracts a diverse amount of pollinators. Definitely yarrow!!!
