Nature photo of the day: ice formations hovering above the ever-flowing creek.
the memory of ice a pause in the cold holding back the flow of the frigid flowing water crystals bloom and grow in the dark layer upon intricate layer weaving a mystifying pattern by the light of the glacial moon unseen unheard unwelcome unfelt by the unbrave unloved by the unwarm understood only by the chionophile who stands over the cold creek and feasts their undernourished eyes on the sparkle and glimmer of the beautiful memories of ice by the light of the shallow sun and under the sliver of the frozen winter moon - Cheryl M.
I keep hearing that February is the coldest month of the year, and that people can’t wait for spring. But hear me out, there is infinite beauty in the cold - if you know where to look - and rushing often gets you nowhere really fast.
Besides, it’s still winter! And a little cold never hurt anyone. Unless you expect it to, but that’s a belief that can be altered whenever you are brave enough to change it.

You don’t have to bathe in the water if you don’t want to. You only have to admire the frozen ice from afar, or as close as you dare.

The ice formations and delicate or rugged shapes designed by nature are different from year to year, with variations on the same icy theme. Part of the magical beauty lies in never knowing what you will see when you walk along a flowing creek in winter.

Within 20 minutes, I collected these memories of ice to share with all of you. If you haven’t had a chance to get outside today, please enjoy them from the warmth of your cozy home!
As for the journal prompt of the day:
Write a list of all the things you like about ice.
If you ask around, very few people love ice, unless it is in their glass, sometimes not even then.
Ice, as you know it, is often associated with coldness, freezing temperatures, slipperiness, falling, frigidity, rigidity, inflexibility, stubbornness, the inability to change, and even the absence of love.
On the lighter side, there’s also the stillness and peace that comes with the momentary freezing of time. A sense of calm, hope and joy are a few other positive emotions that come to my mind.
How about you? What do you like about ice?
Would you call it beautiful or say nice things to it if you saw it in person? Or would you rather avoid the cold altogether?
One last thing before you go!

With immense gratitude for everyone who shows up to read our words,
Only a true nature lover can love the ice, and the snow. As the years pass by, I feel more and more gratitude for the cold, and for my chance to get out in the cold. I'm always thrilled when ice covers the creek!! As long as we can share the ice with everyone else, who can't experience the cold, as long as we can share winter with everyone, all is good.
There is absolutely beauty in winter and you've done a great job showcasing that!!
